We had our Wedding here last Saturday. Simon and Harriet were great, they listened to what we wanted and helped make a great menu for our guests. Every single person loved the food, no complaints about how the food was cooked, the chef really knows how to cook a steak properly. The breakfast was great too. Nicole was especially amazing, everything we asked for was met with a ‘yes of course’. The venue is such a nice little gem that made our wedding feel intimate. I would definitely recommend visiting this place to eat and have a wedding

The Inn was perfect for my son and I. We had everything we needed at the Inn if we decided to stay in which we did one day. The owners and staff where great. We will be back at Queens Heads Inn in the future.

we had our wedding ceremony and reception here. the venue Is absolutely stunning, the food on the day was amazing and there were so many compliments about it! the bedrooms were just what we needed after a busy day. We cannot thank Harriet and Simon enough for accommodating all of our requests, Nicole, Dylan and all of the staff worked extremely hard to ensure our day ran smoothly and fuss free. We would definitely recommend this as a stunning option for anyone considering wedding venues! Thank you all so much!!

Very disappointed to find the low standard of maintenance and cleanliness. All the outside furniture is either broken or in a very poor state of repair. The door to enter the accommodation is sticky and dirty which lets down what could be a nice pub

Beautiful venue for our wedding in June. The staff have been outstanding throughout the planning process and on the day itself everything was perfect. The food was absolutely delicious, all our guests gave us so much positive feedback. We had several different dietary requirements including allergies and the team were not phased by any of it. The unexpected touches of our own favourite drinks waiting for us upon our arrival and the port after dinner just gave it all that extra personal touch. We would like to thank the whole team for all their help and hard work, you helped make our day so much more memorable.

As soon as we stepped into the queens head inn, we knew this was the wedding venue for us! The management and staff listened to us and helped us with our requirements with ease, a special shout out to Dylan and Nicole who were on hand the day before and throughout the day of the wedding, there support and knowledge was seamless. The food! The food was delicious, we opted for the BBQ option and it was great we could change a few dishes that suited our style. We also booked some rooms and they were spacious, comfy and seemed to have everything you would need for your stay. But what also makes this place so special, as well as the team, is the outdoor space! Perfect place for people to gather, chill and relax. All of our guests loved the ‘pop up’ welcome bar by the river and it’s the perfect backdrop for any photo you take! Thank you so much to the team @ the Queens head inn, you truly made our long awaited day very special! We are very much looking forward to our next visit. Thank you again! The Murphy’s!

Lovely location near the river, staying close by so booked for an evening meal. Staff very welcoming and attentive, food was nice with descent sized portions. Only critique my Ham and eggs said "comes with 2 runny eggs" & mine were hard. Would recommend and visit again.

Wanted a nice pub by the water to take my wife for lunch and online the location came up. Arrived (admittedly a Wednesday lunchtime) and stood at the bar for 3 minutes before anyone appeared. Ordered two drinks and asked if we could have food down in the garden by the pond to subsequently be told that was ok as long as you wait and take the food down with you and return the empty plates etc back to the bar afterwards. At this point I almost fell off my perch but as we’d driven an hour to be there I thought what the hell and carried on. I asked how long the food would take and was advised 15 minutes so thought I’d venture back up to the bar just before to collect our meal, just prior to this a swarthy youth walked the length of the garden to inform us our dinner was ready at the bar (which he walked past to get to us), I then walked back to the bar to collect it and after consuming took the plates and empty glasses back to the bar. Obviously no staff and the effect of Covid in a nutshell! 🤣

Booked this local pub for my 60th. Great venue we had 35 guests. 21 who stayed over. The landlord, Simon and Harriet, were very accommodating, the BBQ, was excellent, a variety of food and plenty of it. Very relaxed atmosphere. And the staff were very helpful. Thank you would happily book again.

Popped in by chance on the boat on Saturday evening, mooring at the bottom of the garden, very shallow getting through the channel to it but doable with care, landlord and staff were really friendly and the food was absolutely amazing, we will definitely be visiting again, can't recommend this place enough, five stars, thanks for the warm welcome.

Made a booking and wasn't told they had a function on too. Was told there would be a delay. When I chased them 30 mins later was told it would be another 30 mins before the table would be ready. Staff seemed disinterested. So just left and went somewhere else.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding day with our wedding reception and overnight stay, followed by breakfast at this gorgeous pub. The staff throughout the evening were professional, quick and really went the extra mile to make our day absolutely perfect, without making us feel crowded or pressured in any way. When organising the wedding itself, this was a very smooth and easy process and we were really allowed to adjust everything to suit our needs, which was refreshing. The food, as always, was delicious and to serve 29 meals all with perfect timing, all wonderfully cooked, was very impressive and was the talk of the following morning. If you’re after a comfortable and welcoming wedding reception, lots of tasty food and drink, and a chance for some time in the gardens if the weather plays ball (it didn’t for us, but didn’t ruin the day whatsoever) then this will be the venue for you. Overall, I think the value for money was fantastic, especially compared to the price of other venues that we had looked at, and the location can’t be beaten, with beautiful lakeside views and a quiet village setting for overnight guests. The quality of food and the service is the best I have ever experienced. We will be back for general eating but also for our anniversary meal each year.

Badly organised wedding. Food late and poor. Not enough staff and all casually dressed. Untrained. Room overcrowded for ceremony and reception. Could not adequately accommodate the 60 invited guests. Luckily fine weather allowed us into the large back garden. No provision for wet or cold weather. Evening supper was brought out at 9 pm, just two hours after the 3 course very late afternoon meal. Most of this food was wasted and left to spoil. Overnight guest woke to find no chef on duty to cook breakfast.

We came here for a meal as it was very local to where we were staying. I had the beer battered fish and chips. It had a really strange taste, unlike any beer battered fish and chips that I have had in the past. I must admit, I didn't really like it. The people I was with had the steak and ale pie, which again wasn't great as the pastry was very doughy, a bit like a suet pudding. As for the service. Considering it wasn't very busy, that wasn't great either.

I loved Queen’s Head Inn. I want to start with the village. It’s filled with history. Not only that, but it’s a walk or bike away from more history in all directions. There’s a cute park and a football field not too far. Nassington is warmly friendly and convenient drive to Peterborough and Stamford. The inn was pleasant. My room had wonderful water pressure. My bed was comfortable and had soft fluffy blankets. I love that there’s a USB in the outlets close to the bed. I enjoyed my pint by the dock with sheep and ducks. I even saw a red kite fly above the tree line. I love that the pub is welcoming to dogs. The right rugby matches were on and the locals were all welcoming. All of the bartenders that I met, were attentive and a pleasant chat. I was happily surprised by the choice of local brewery on tap. My first halloumi fries were exactly what I expected. All of the food that I tried throughout my stay was excellent. I recommend the brisket and hammock. I look forward to my next stay at Queen’s Head. It’s the right price for a comfortably unique stay.

Sunday lunch was that good we went back two weeks later. We all had different meat, beef pork lamb and all of it was cooked well and there was plenty of it. You even get cauliflower cheese to go with the other veg, bonus !!. Well worth a try.
